No Salary For You - Ngilu Tells Broke County Gov’t Workers

 

It is now official. There will be no salary for Kitui county government workers any time soon.

This piece of sad new has been passed over to all the Chief Officers by the county secretary Joshua Chepchieng, advising them to inform employees in their departments of the sad turn of events.

In a letter dated today August 10 (letter attached), addressed to the COs and which has been picked by our top placed moles in the collapsed Mbee Nzei regime, Chepchieng has literally send the county government workers to shylocks and online lending Apps.

The county government workers have gone without their July saklaries and there is no hope for August pay.

“I think they will be paid at the end of September. It will do them good if they are in good books with shylocks and other money lenders” noted one of the local commentators.

During the previous regime, the county government workers used to receive their pay between 25th and 30th of every month. Enter Ngilu, salary delays became the order of the month as the employees sink into penury.

Payment of land rates   No Criminal Encroacher should attempt to Grab Dr Malombe's legally acquired land Our Reporter   Governor Julius Malombe, as a private citizen, has the legal rights to own land anywhere in the Country. The fact that he owns a parcel of land within Kitui Municipality should not be a strange thing to anyone. However, what is concerning is when another individual attempts to criminally encroach on and grab Dr Malombe's piece of land, in the hope that he will keep quiet just because he is the governor. This is the most warped thinking ever, and it is anchored on blackmail.  The plot in question is legally owned by Dr Julius Makau Malombe. It was legally allotted to him over 30 years ago. And as a law abiding citizen, Malombe has been faithfully and legally paying land rates for the said piece of land since that time to date!
