SHOCK AS CS CHEPCHIENG's OFFICIAL CAR IMPOUNDED FOR LACK OF INSURANCE
That condemned Ngilu's government operates like a Juakali kiosk is not in doubt. This loose-stool-kind of operation has forced several service providers to withdraw their services and discontinue their engagements with the failed adminstration.
A case in point here is the Insurance sector that has discontinued its services to Ngilu's county government vehicles including those of senior officers.
Yesterday evening, County Secretary Joshua Chepchieng got a rude shock of his life when his official car --- a Toyota Fortuner was impounded by no nonsense officers from the Check Unit for lacking Insurance.
According to our top mole who witnessed the drama that exploded near Total Petro Station, Chepchieng who is among a band of officers christened foreign scavengers was yanked off the car alongside his driver as a breakdown was immediately summoned to cart it away.
"The unfortunate man was forced to hike a lift from a good Samaritan. His pleas that he's a senior officer fell on deaf ears" our mole revealed. His driver was immediately arrested.
Several county govt vehicles are being held in several garages within Kitui and Thika after the collapsed administration failed to foot service charges.
"Some of these vehicles have
not been serviced for years. They lack functional brakes, shocks are dead,
indicators and wipers have collapsed yet no garage is willing to touch them
because they know they won't be paid. We are driving killer
contraptions" revealed one of the suffering drivers
