Wakili Nyamu's Credentials and Experience Leave Other Aspants Gasping For Breath

Wakili Wilfred Nyamu has thrown his hat into the ring for Kitui senatorial seat. What is clear so far is that wakili Nyamu, through his wealth of experience and expertise; is coming out as the only credible competitor to the sitting senator.

The rest of the aspirants have been dismissed as jokers and pretenders to the throne, bereft of any leadership qualities.

A quick snippet of wakili Nyamu’s profile shows a man of wealthy experience and remarkable skills that will leave his fellow aspirants sweating in confusion.

Work Experience

In November 1998, Nyamu Joined Labour Insight Centre – a project of the Centre for Law and Research International (CLARION) as a Legal/Dispute officer. His duties here included provision of legal aid to the workers and trade unions across the country.

August 2000 – He was employed at Labour Awareness and Resource Centre, an NGO engaged in legal aid, civic education on workers’ rights and trade union democracy. He was the programme officer cum legal and deputy executive director.

November 2015 - Appointed member and chairman of the Board of Management, Tseikuru Technical Training Institute.

Other recent big assignments Wakili Nyamu has handled include;

Representing governor Kivutha Kibwana and Makueni county executive during the hearings in the Justice Nyaoga led commission to dissolve the county government.

Representing Embu governor Martin Wambora during his endless tussles with the county assembly that sought to impeach him

Representing Machakos governor Alfred Mutua and his party; Maendeleo Chap Chap during a petition filed by Wavinya Ndeti

This wealth of experience is unrivalled and this is the reason why Kitui County cannot wait to elect Wakili Nyamu as senator. What is also giving him an edge is on regional balance of the county politics.

Outgoing governor Ngilu comes from Kitui Central while the man of the moment, the incoming governor Dr Julius Malombe also comes from Kitui Central. This makes it very tricky for any other senatorial aspirant from Kitui Central to sail through. Being the only credible, experienced and hand on senatorial aspirant from the Ndee Nation, Wakili Nyamu stands tall. The senatorial race will definitely be a two horse race between senator Enoch Wambua and wakili Nyamu.
