Yes, We Are Coming To Make Kitui Great Again – Says Dr Malombe

Dr Julius Malombe has appealed to suffering Kitui populace to hold on for a little while as prepares to come back and continue with the development agenda of the county, that stalled immediately he left the stage.

Speaking at Kyangwithwa West during a visit to condole with the family of the late Stephen  Kithuku, Dr. Malombe noted that he had heard the people’s cry and anguish and their reverberating call for him to come back and rescue the county.

"I have been watching and listening as people speak and the truth is that Kitui County residents are suffering and are hungering for good and accountable leadership. This is what we are coming back to offer. I will serve the entire county without any bias as i always did,” Malombe said.

Dr. Malombe who is currently serving as chairman of the Kenya Water Towers Agency said he has decided to honour the continued calls from dejected residents across Kitui County who are demanding that he runs as governor in 2022.

“It is good that the people know what they want. We shall be picking from where we left . During my term, we delivered over 5000 life changing projects that are spread across the whole county. We intend to do more and make Kitui county great again,” he added.

One of the local leaders who spoke during the funeral assured the incoming governor of  people’s support, saying that all Malombe needed to do was to just declare his candidature.

“I can assure you that people across the county have resolved to deliver the seat for you. All what you need to do is declare your candidature and leave the rest to us,” he told Malombe as the gathering clapped in agreement.

Dr Malombe promised an accountable and transparent leadership that will offer sound governance, and share the county resources equitably in all corners.

The county residents agree that since Malombe left office, no meaningful development has been undertaken. Instead, the current administration is dogged by ills and scandals, including financial graft in which the county residents have lost huge amounts of money through dubious and questionable projects.

What is worse, the county workers are not being paid their salaries, hospitals have no drugs, women are breaking their backs looking for water, roads are impassable and there is general feeling of hopelessness.

Emptiness, lies, sleaze, injustices and incompetence are the hallmarks of the collapsed mbee nzei regime.
