Ngilu Buys Off Kitui's Gutter Press With Alcohol and Boiled Eggs


It is indeed a season of theatrics as 2022 fast approaches. Who would have thought that fellows associating themselves with the media would be lured by Kaluki Ngilu and hypnotized with alcohol and food at her Ithookwe home?


But this is exactly what happened on Wednesday evening after Ngilu tricked a bunch of gullible fellas to her home where she fed them with rice stew, macaroni and boiled eggs.


After gorging themselves in food, the characters were later treated to a drinking frenzy of alcohol and soft drinks until some couldn't walk. 


 Our mole who watched the eating and drinking bonanza for the 'media'  from a strategic position heard some of the drunks hilariously promise Ngilu heaven.


"Akiangai mama ndulea kuvita...wachana na wapinzani mama, ground niyako. Wait and see..." one of the drunkards slurred as heard by our mole. 

"Mbongele kindu vaa wee..." the famished fella then yelled while thirstily reaching out for a bottle of Jameson whisky. Ngilu winked to one of her PR goons who, on getting the cue, clicked his camera furiously. 


Ngilu who had planted her media goons strategically to take photos of the eaters was however seen smiling cynically while pretending to also get drunk...all to fool the hungry lot. 


"It's like she wanted to read their minds. Even her media goons were taking soda.... alcohol was reserved for the so called invited media people. They really gorged  themselves" our mole pointed out. 


 After the eating Jamboree, the 'media' was escorted with a light envelope, with a promise that such eating bonanzas will be held often at Ithookwe and they should be on the lookout. 


The mainstream media however avoided the eating party like a bad virus, a move that paved way for scavengers to throng in and demolish Ngilu's food as if the world was coming to an end. 


"There was no way I was going to go to Ngilu's home. Not that meeting her is a crime but if she meant well, she would have called them to a hotel or some other place, not her home" remarked a Kitui based TV journalist while dismissing the alcohol party as an insult to the true media.

Payment of land rates   No Criminal Encroacher should attempt to Grab Dr Malombe's legally acquired land Our Reporter   Governor Julius Malombe, as a private citizen, has the legal rights to own land anywhere in the Country. The fact that he owns a parcel of land within Kitui Municipality should not be a strange thing to anyone. However, what is concerning is when another individual attempts to criminally encroach on and grab Dr Malombe's piece of land, in the hope that he will keep quiet just because he is the governor. This is the most warped thinking ever, and it is anchored on blackmail.  The plot in question is legally owned by Dr Julius Makau Malombe. It was legally allotted to him over 30 years ago. And as a law abiding citizen, Malombe has been faithfully and legally paying land rates for the said piece of land since that time to date!
