My Succession Will Be Guided By The People, Says Kibwana

Prof Kivutha Kibwana Makueni governor Kivutha kibwana has said that his succession will be guided by the majority will of the people. Speaking today through his director of press, Kibwana reiterated that he has no preferred candidate to inherit him, adding that he will let the will of the people guide his choice. "Our preferred candidate will be the one preferred by the people" governor Kibwana said amidst a viral social media report that he could be having a preferred candidate to take over from him in August 2022 polls. Governor Kibwana said that public participation was the best method to determine the most preferred candidate, saying this process is already ongoing across the entire Makueni county. He urged the county residents to express their wish and support without fear.  Kibwana said the people's choice will be his choice since he is a strong believer in democratic public will. 

Blow For Failed Ngilu As Syokimau, Mbaitu FMs Are Pulled Off Air

Outgoing and failed governor Kaluki Ngilu has suffered a killer blow following a decision by the communications Authority of Kenya (CAK) to cancel broadcasting licences for her two radio stations. Syokimau FM and Mbaitu FM face imminent closure after the authority placed a notice of the intended cancellation of broadcasting licences and revocation of FM frequencies for the two radio stations among many others spread across the country.  The authority said the licences were being revoked for failure to comply with the broadcasting rights. Also to be pulled off the air is Catholic church run radio station in Kitui town called Thome FM which has also not complied with the terms of the broadcasting licence. More to follow ......

By Our guest writer As you read this, scores of people are suffering from soft tissue injuries and near broken teeth after they were given a dog's beating and trampled on at the home of Ambassador Kiema Kilonzo during an eating bonanza gone wrong.  Kiema is said to have invited a number of people across Kitui county to his Kavalula village home where he was supposed to announce his difficult decision of running for Kitui's governor's seat.  All went well for the few hours of the event during which time Kiema, a one time Mutitu MP waxed lyrical about his impossible desire to serve the county as the governor. In Pictures: Mwingi Drowning Horror Accident

  Below are some of the photos taken at the scene of accident at Enziu River where over 20 people drowned when a bus they were travelling in was swept by raging river waters. So far 23 bodies have been retrieved and moved to Mwingi Level 4 hospital mortuary. Skymoon sends deep condolences to all those affected. It shall be well.
