Kiema chickens out, refuses to pick Kalonzo's calls


During today's meeting called by Kalonzo Musyoka at Wiper House, the unpopular Kiema Kilonzo failed to show up for the negotiations. 


Only Dr. Malombe attended the meeting that was meant to bring a truce between the two aspirants and reach a consensus on who will fly the Wiper flag during the August 9 polls.



According to our reliable sources, Kiema had sensed that things would not go his way and decided to go missing as a way of blackmailing the party leader. 

The crafty and mannerless Kiema even refused to pick or return Kalonzo's calls since last night, something that has angered the Wiper boss. 



"It is true Kiema did not show up for the meeting today. It was only Dr. Malombe who attended today's meeting and he held a lengthy chat with the party leader for hours. Kalonzo is very bitter with Kiema for exhibiting open disrespect" our source revealed. 



Kalonzo then decided that the final decision will be communicated on Wednesday this week on who flies the Wiper ticket.


In all opinion polls, even the ones conducted by Kiema himself, he has been trailing at number 4 with dismal performance of between 5 - 8 percent support across the entire county. This is a clear indicator that Kiema cannot win the governor's seat with whatever party and under whatever circumstances.

The fact that he owns a parcel of land within Kitui Municipality should not be a strange thing to anyone. However, what is concerning is when another individual attempts to criminally encroach on and grab Dr Malombe's piece of land, in the hope that he will keep quiet just because he is the governor. This is the most warped thinking ever, and it is anchored on blackmail.  The plot in question is legally owned by Dr Julius Makau Malombe. It was legally allotted to him over 30 years ago.
