MCAs to Meet Governor Tomorrow to Unlock Budget Stalemate

  MCAs plan Meeting with Governor Malombe tomorrow to Unlock Budget Deadlock Our Reporter   Members of Kitui County Assembly have called for a meeting with Governor Julius Malombe tomorrow (Monday 22rd) to seek the way forward in unlocking the budget stalemate. Through a communiqué issued by the Assembly Speaker Kevin Kinengo, all the MCAs are expected to assemble at Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI) on Monday starting at 4pm. The meeting which is expected to discuss more on the county budget is expected to go late into the evening. Members of the executive will also be in attendance. The budget deadlock has made the county development agenda stagnate temporarily as members of the public pile pressure on the MCAs to do their bit in approving the budget. The residents are eager to see Governor Malombe roll out his development plan across the county and have asked the MCAs to partner with the executive for service delivery to be realized. Today we want to address you from a different standpoint; that of neutrality and sobriety.  By now you must have reconciled with the idea that you are running the second arm of the County Government. It should also worry you that among the 47 County Assemblies in Kenya, yours is the most chaotic and divisive.
