MCAs to Meet Governor Tomorrow to Unlock Budget Stalemate
MCAs plan Meeting with Governor Malombe tomorrow to Unlock Budget Deadlock
Our Reporter
Members of Kitui County Assembly have called for a meeting with Governor Julius Malombe tomorrow (Monday 22rd) to seek the way forward in unlocking the budget stalemate.
Through a communiqué issued by the Assembly Speaker Kevin Kinengo, all the MCAs are expected to assemble at Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI) on Monday starting at 4pm.
The meeting which is expected to discuss more on the county budget is expected to go late into the evening. Members of the executive will also be in attendance.
The budget deadlock has made the county development agenda stagnate temporarily as members of the public pile pressure on the MCAs to do their bit in approving the budget.
The residents are eager to see Governor Malombe roll out his development plan across the county and have asked the MCAs to partner with the executive for service delivery to be realized.
"We have confidence in Governor Malombe's Commitment to work for the people. His public support is solid. All we are asking the MCAs is to support the governor in good faith so that development can be realized" said Patrick Mwania, a resident of Kitui South.
