The new theatre marks another milestone in the County Government’s deliberate investments aimed at strengthening healthcare services and bringing life-saving treatment closer to the people. For years, the majority of residents of Mwingi West and neighboring areas had to travel long distances to access specialized surgical services. From Training to Smart Licences: Gov Malombe Transforms Boda Boda Sector

Governor Malombe with Kitui bodaboda men Our Reporter   Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe has intensified efforts to professionalize the boda boda sector after 783 motorcycle riders from all the 40 wards received Smart Driving Licences. The initiative to empower the bodaboda operators was done under a partnership between the County Government of Kitui and the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA). Speaking during the issuance ceremony at KEFRI Grounds, Governor Malombe said the initiative is designed to promote road safety, improve professionalism and accountability among riders, and enhance their livelihoods. He described the programme as a major step towards transforming the boda boda industry into a safer, well-organized and economically viable sector.
