MEET MULANGO WARD DEVELOPMENT ICON – HON NZAMBA JAMES

In his Mulango ward, Hon Jehoshaphat Nzamba James stands tall. This, for the development projects he has initiated over the last two years since his election.

He is down to earth, has a listening hear and above all development oriented.

“I came to office to serve and that is exactly what I have been doing” says the holder of Bachelor of Commerce Degree who graduated with honours. Hon Nzamba has also specialized in Human Resource Management. He is also a suave entrepreneur who runs a pharmaceutical shop in Nairobi. On the sides he is also a real estate developer and sells car.

In his ward, Hon Nzamba has pushed for the tarmacking of Katulani shopping centre.

Dust in the town is now a thing of the past and mama mbogas who sell fresh fruits and vegetables by the roadside are a happy lot.

“Mwanake usu nuthukumite nesa” exclaims Katumi Makau, a vegetable vendor.

To add icing to the cake, Hon Nzamba has also supplied water tanks to his people at Katulani market.

He has also overseen construction of drifts to ease transportation within the ward. Some of these are the Kyambiti drift worthy Sh7M and another one at Koma within Katulani. Grading of roads has been during his watch.

The Ward Rep has also made efforts to ensure water scarcity in the ward is a thing of the past. He has initiated a borehole worthy Sh5.5M at Kathungi and another one at Kaumba at a cost of Sh3.6M.

On the education front, Several ECDE classes have been set up courtesy of his hard work. There is an ECDE class at  Yumbisye primary school and another at Manooni primary school.

Hon Nzamba Cup is a tournament he has initiated to bring the youth together and empower them. It has a budget of half a million shillings and is held in December every year.

“We have a lot of ideas to empower the youth and involve them in development matters. It can only get better for them” states Nzamba.

Indeed for Mulango Ward, things can only get better, what with such a great, innovative mind as their MCA.
