EXPOSED: How Ngilu Is Blackmailing Kalonzo On PSB

When Kaluki Ngilu started courting Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, whom she derides in secret, many people smelt a foul rat.

This is because over the years, Ngilu has proven that she cannot be trusted, not with leadership nor friendship. 

On Kalonzo specifically, it was just months ago when she was recorded by Kalembe Ndile in a telephone conversation in which she  mocked and ridiculed Kalonzo, describing him as useless coward and selfish. Her mockery for Kalonzo is the size of Sahara desert. 

She had also joined Governors Mutua and Kibwana in an axis of evil made to reduce the former VP to a skeleton. 

But with elections around the corner and with peoples anger boiling against her mismanagement of the county, the Queen who is seeking a re-election made an about turn and started sending emissaries to Kalonzo. 

Being a Christian, (others would say being overly gullible too), Kalonzo cluelessly accepted Ngilu's overtures. 

Before long, Ngilu's crooks started announcing to the world how Kalonzo is being funded by the rejected governor and getting chopper hires for his political activities. They posted about this on WhatsApp and elsewhere, boasting how Ngilu had finally cracked Kalonzo's price tag. This, they did and still do with the blessings of the governor who is out to expose Kalonzo as corrupt, inept, out of touch and complacent. 

Discreetly Ngilu has gone back to her usual ways. With Kalonzo's ear, she wants to use this camaraderie and have her way. 

For instance, the Assembly rejected Ngilu's nominees for the Public Service Board on a myriad of reasons. 

The outgoing governor was then given a chance to present another list of nominees for vetting and possible approval. 

But what did she do? Since she claims to have pocketed Kalonzo, she returned 3 of the rejected individuals. 

According to our moles in mbee Nzei, Ngilu has told them that Kalonzo has no option but to whip his MCAs to accept the rejects because, as she puts it, she gave him some ministers, even when others did not qualify to hold that post.

"She is saying it bluntly, that she scratched Kalonzo's back and he must scratch hers" our top mole revealed.

This is a clear blackmail but Ngilu is determined to push it. 

"She says if they reject the names again, she will start a campaign to expose the Kalonzo ministers as inept and incompetent and finally sack them" our resident mole disclosed. This could be true because we have seen some of Ngilu's WhatsApp bandits and village bloggers trying to ridicule and give ultimatums to some of the new ministers which is a red flag! 

Thus, this looks like a catch 22 situation, even for the MCAs. It is also clear that Ngilu is not ready to have a professional PSB but a stooge one that she can control even when she is outside.

Kitui residents are rising up on the Assembly to exercise independence and remain professional. 

"If they approve the  nominees they earlier rejected, then Kitui residents will be left asking 'between the first vetting and this one, which one are the MCAs being fools and robots?" said Nyamai Mwikya, a Kitui trader, saying the reasons leading to the rejection of the nominees are still in place.

"They can only approve the names if they have been coerced to do do. That will cast them as headless rubberstamps" he added. 

Our desk has established that Ngilu is incessantly calling Kalonzo and prevailing on him to whip his party MCAs to approve the nominees. 

One MCA indeed told us that they are waiting to receive a direction from the party leader. 

"Yes we rejected those three and now have been brought back. As a house we haven't taken a firm decision on the nominees. We want to hear from the party leader" whispered the Wiper MCA.
