VIDEO: KITUI's HEALTHCARE IS SICK - SENATOR WAMBUA TELLS SENATE

Senator Wambua addressing Senate on the death of Kitui health sector

Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua has sounded alarm bells for dying Kitui hospitals that have been turned into death traps since Kaluki Ngilu took over.

Speaking in the Senate yesterday, Wambua, just like a majority Kitui residents agreed that the health sector was in disarray with health facilities lacking even the basic of services and medicine.

The only medicine easily available in health facilities are paracetamol and aspirins. For other basic medicine such as Augmentin, patients are required to buy in town chemists where prices range between 800 and 1000 shillings, an amount out of reach for many kituians.

The outgoing governor and her cartels have looted all the funds meant for healthcare and water provision, and carted it away to secret bank accounts. It is only two weeks ago, when Ngilu publicly admitted she has failed and has no development project to show. Kitui residents can't wait to vote her out !

Senator Wambua said he will approach the senate committee on health to start the process of forcing Ngilu's ramshackle mbee nzei administration relinquish the health function to the national government since the governor is clueless.
