Joe Mutambu's Wife Goes For Mulyungi's Seat

It looks like Hon. Joe Mutambu, former Mwingi Central MP has chickened out of the race in which he had indicated he wanted to reclaim the seat and send the sitting MP, Hon Gideon Mulyungi, alias Tsunami packing.



Instead, Mutambu has unleashed his wife, Lydia who was born in Central Kenya to tussle with Mulyungi. 



Lydia says she is coming to reclaim the seat once held by her husband Mutambu before he was swept off by Tsunami in 2017 elections.



Lydia is running on a Jubilee party which, like Wiper is under Azimio.   



One wonders why Joe Mutambu, a political maverick in his own right has cowered from the race and instead hurled his rookie wife into the unchartered waters. Will she withstand the Tsunami wave?



It is to be remembered that Gideon Mulyungi bundled Mutambu out of town with a sweeping clean victory in a race that also saw the former LSK chairman Ezekiel Mutua reduced to a cry baby in Mwingi police stations.




How then does Lydia Mutambu hope to compete with Mulyungi, a master political genius with a strong hold in Mwingi central and beyond, and a good orator with deep pockets and a development record to boot? 




Some in Mulyungi's camp have laughed off Lydia's entry, saying where her husband was reduced to minced meat by Mulyungi, she will be ground to a fine powder. 



"Sasa Joe naye ni mwingine. Ameogopa race sasa anaachilia mama,  atawezana kweli. This is laughable indeed," a strong Mulyungi supporter remarked, and advised Tsunami to hire Lydia in his CDF office.

Payment of land rates   No Criminal Encroacher should attempt to Grab Dr Malombe's legally acquired land Our Reporter   Governor Julius Malombe, as a private citizen, has the legal rights to own land anywhere in the Country. The fact that he owns a parcel of land within Kitui Municipality should not be a strange thing to anyone. However, what is concerning is when another individual attempts to criminally encroach on and grab Dr Malombe's piece of land, in the hope that he will keep quiet just because he is the governor. This is the most warped thinking ever, and it is anchored on blackmail.  The plot in question is legally owned by Dr Julius Makau Malombe. It was legally allotted to him over 30 years ago. And as a law abiding citizen, Malombe has been faithfully and legally paying land rates for the said piece of land since that time to date!
