Why Kalonzo will Not allow Nominations on Kitui's Governor's race.

Kalonzo with Dr. Malombe

It if a foregone conclusion; that Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka will not allow Wiper nominations for the governor positions in both Kitui and Machakos counties.

Kalonzo has told Wiper insiders that he is aware that forces outside the party and other interested groups are plotting how to support weaker Governor candidates in the nominations exercise.

Once this is achieved, the weaker Wiper candidate will then face off with others who are contesting on other parties such as Jubilee party.

"This will deny the party the victory it so much deserves. The party leader and party leadeship is very much aware of this plot by our opponents. They have mapped Kitui and Machakos to make us lose" revealed a top Wiper gun this Friday afternoon.

The party has since established that in Kitui county, David Musila who ditched the party is scheming how to support Kiema Kilonzo in the nominations because he fears facing a strong Dr Malombe at the ballot.

"We have intelligence that Musila wants to support Kiema Kilonzo because he's the weaker candidate. Musila has told his people that he can trounce Kiema even without campaigning, which is true anyway. For Wiper to win the seat, we must avoid this scenario," the Wiper top gun added.

According to several opinion polls done in the recent past, Kiema Kilonzo has constantly polled below 10 percent while Dr. Malombe has enjoyed an upwards of above 60 percent.

This is the more reason that Kalonzo and the Wiper party leadership wants a negotiated consensus to front the only popular candidate.

The top Wiper insider who spoke to our desk today insisted that Kalonzo will unveil the candidates for both Kitui and Machakos early next week, adding that the nomination process has totally been ruled out since it is prone to manipulation.
