How Ngilu Screwed Up Raila's Last Bullet

~ There is something awfully evil about retired Kitui governor Charity Ngilu and her incurable hatred for Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka. It is something that needs serious investigations.

~ However, before we digress, let us tell you, blow by blow, how Ngilu messed up Raila Odinga's chances of becoming the 5th president of Kenya. It is our duty to do this now that the dust has settled.

~ For starters, everything seemed to go seamlessly well for Baba in the just ended presidential election. That is until Ngilu immersed herself into Raila - Azimio politics and literally became Odinga's chief advisor and lap dancer. She abdicated her duty in Kitui County and would be seen chaperoning the former prime minister around the country, while staging herself for another looting frenzy in the National Government. 

Raila ignored Kalonzo, thus his death

~ Having supported Raila in two subsequent presidential elections and delivered - almost to the last man - the Kamba vote, it was expected that Raila would reciprocate by supporting Kalonzo in this election. If that was not possible, then the least Raila could do was to pick Kalonzo as his running mate. 

~ Many in Ukambani and elsewhere across the country were of the view that a Raila - Kalonzo coalition would emerge victorious with the ease of felling a pawpaw tree. Even opinion polls indicated as much. 

~ But then Ngilu, seemingly from the voodoo world emerged and like a possessed demon took charge. Being a high profile politician in the country (that's now water under the bridge) Ngilu used her proximity to Raila and president Uhuru Kenyatta to frustrate Kalonzo's bid. 

~ Blinded by her incurable hatred for Kalonzo, Ngilu was acting totally out of sync with the community's aspirations. The more Kalonzo's chances of becoming Raila's running mate looked solid, the more Ngilu urinated on it.  

~ She at one time even proclaimed that she wanted to be Raila's running mate! Kalonzo, humble and non-confrontational, took it in his stride.

Kalonzo's damning prophesy.

~ Ngilu ensured that Kalonzo was humiliated in Azimio and made to look like a page boy. She assembled her asernal of women Caucuses to incite the country that Raila could only pick a woman running mate. Having possibly ruled herself out of the equation, she proposed Martha Karua as the perfect fit. 

~ They made Kalonzo undergo silly interviews just so that they blocked him. Little did they know that they were digging their own grave.

"If Raila does not pick me as his running mate, he will lose" Kalonzo publicly told the country and briefly went silent as haters dismissed him as a bitter soul. He would later re-join the Azimio brigade begrudgingly and went flat out in rooting for Raila - Karua presidency. It was an impotent gamble. 

Raila's last bullet extinguished 

~ When the IEBC called the final tally, Raila's last bullet had missed the bull's-eye, but by a whisker. Ruto was declared the winner with 7,176,141 votes against Raila's 6,942,930 votes. The difference - 233,211 votes - is very negligible for a presidential race. ~This score is slightly above what Irene Kasalu garnered to become Kitui's Woman Rep.

~ So why did Raila lose with such a miniscule margin? You need to look at this vis a vis Kalonzo's performance in the general election. Kalonzo's Wiper party performed brilliantly well, scooping seats in Ukambani and sweeping Taita Taveta like a tornado. 

~ For a party that was initially thought to be an underdog, Wiper did very well and delivered a good fortune of votes to Raila. But not good enough for him to win. Sadly, Martha Karua, Ngilu's choice for a running mate delivered near zero votes in her backyard. Like Ngilu, she had zero votes to deliver. 

Hammer & tongs 

~ Political pundits opine - and rightly so - that if Raila picked Kalonzo, it would have been a clean sweep. A huge chunk of Kalonzo supporters voted for Kenya Kwanza after their leader was frustrated in Azimio. Yet Ngilu did not stop there. At home, she went hammer and tongs against Wiper's Gubernatorial candidate, in her bid to "finish Kalonzo". Earlier she had even incited her US based slave; one professor Makau Mutua to also dismiss Kalonzo as insignificant.

"We shall win this race even without Kalonzo, but it would be sad to win without him so we urge him to join us"_ the law paper professor with zero knowledge on ground politics snarled in his usual nasal drawl and fake American accent. And that's how Azimio - One Kenya lost!

Ngilu's final defeat

~ We hope Ngilu is happy now. But one thing is clear, the people of Kitui county are particularly happy that Ngilu has totally been vanquished following Raila's final classic defeat. Majority think this is her payment moment for the crimes against humanity she ochestrated against Kitui populace for the last 5 years as accidental governor and 15 years as MP. 

~ Indeed majority want president William Ruto to open up Ngilu's stinking graft files and rush her through criminal prosecution if only to pay for her economic crimes. 

Bottom line: political witchcraft does not pay.
