Business in Mwingi town was Tuesday paralysed for the better part of the evening as local residents held a demonstration to castigate Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi alias Honourable Dwarf.

The irate locals who were joined by members of the business community denounced Mulyungi for his unbecoming conduct and unguarded tongue.

The bitter locals who were carrying posters castigating the rogue MP even went ahead to declare the MP's seat vacant.

"We can't be led by a monster. We don't recognize Mulyungi as our MP anymore" said Mike Munyasya, the executive secretary for KNUT, Mwingi Branch.

The locals took issue with Mulyungi's attack on a business lady named Rhoda who runs a popular restaurant called Kazuri.

Earlier in the day, little Hon Dwarf had accosted Rhoda at the Kazuri restaurant where he slapped her, groped her breasts and even damaged her specs valued at Ksh100,000.

After the physical and sexual assault, Rhoda who has a background in human rights  recorded a statement at Mwingi Central police station.

The area residents want police to expedite investigations, arrest the rogue MP and charge him in court.

The protestors who were waving posters and plackards lambasted the little MP, calling him rogue, misguided, lost and uncontrollably temperamental.

"He must respect other leaders. We saw him insulting Hon Kasalu unprovoked. He is a shame to Mwingi Central" stated Festus Nzung'u, a former mayor of the defunct municipal council.

The irate locals vowed to start collecting signatures to recall the indisciplined MP and replace him with a leader who is sober and respectable. They said the rogue MP is a disaster to the Wiper party and a shame to the party leader.

Mulyungi's uncle Kiteme Munyambu told him off over his pet subject; Dr Mumo. Munyambu said that Governor Malombe has a duty to run his administration the way he deems fit for the benefit of the county residents.

"If he wants Dr Mumo so much, let him open a private hospital for him" Munyambu said to his rogue nephew.
