Water for Life: Governor Malombe Launches Kangu Kangu Water Project

Kangukangu water launched   Our Reporter Kangu Kangu water project which is proving to be a saving grace for Kitui South and Rural residents has officially been launched. Governor Malombe has launched the project today in a ceremony attended by thousands of people who thanked the county boss for actualizing the water project.  Kitui County Assembly MCAs were also present during the event that was also attended by World Vision officials and top County Executive officials.  Thanks to the Kangu Kangu Water Project, Mutomo town now enjoys clean, safe and reliable water in homes, schools, business premisses and institutions. This has brought to an end years of scarcity and suffering where a 20 litre jerrican used to cost Ksh30. A 20 litre jerrican now sells at a  paltry Ksh5. The water quality has been approved by the World Health Organization, Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB) and KEBS. Governor Malombe, Assembly Seal Pact to Prioritize 3 Sectors

Gov Malombe issues joint communique' at the coast Our Reporter   The just-ended retreat between the County Executive and the County Assembly at Pride Inn Hotel at the Kenyan Coast has been hailed as a huge success. The two arms of the Kitui County Government resolved to work harmoniously, each respecting the other’s constitutional mandate. Governor Julius Malombe, who addressed the joint consultative forum before briefing the press, underlined that his administration will now channel focus into three priority sectors aimed at transforming livelihoods. The sectors earmarked by Malombe’s administration are Health, Water, and Roads. The Governor pledged commensurate budget allocations in these departments to drive impactful grassroots programmes. " Going forward, we are going to rationalize our resources to focus on Health, Water, and Roads," Governor Malombe affirmed.
