With the launch of Kitui Tourism Circuit, Kitui County is officially on the map. 


The tourism circuit will open up the county to a galaxy of tourism opportunities, while giving locals and non locals a chance to succur the beauty that the county has to offer.


The circuit encompasses some of the spotlighted  and breathtaking sites such as: 


Nzambani Rock – mystical and legendary


Kiongwe Hills – for those epic panoramic views


Ikoo Valley – nature at its finest


Mutomo Hill Plant Sanctuary & Reptile Park – unique flora and fauna


Mutito & Mumoni Hills – birdwatcher’s paradise


Ikutha AIC Historical Church – a glimpse into history


The circuit isn’t just about sightseeing – it’s about revamping tourism, creating jobs, boosting the local economy, and generating livelihoods, Governor Malombe says. 


And to add the icing to the cake, Kenya Utalii College is also setting up a campus in the County to build a skilled tourism workforce.


Further, KWS has announced that they will stock South Kitui National Game Reserve with rare rhinos and other wildlife. This will not only act as a jigsaw fit to the circuit but will also provide the much needed security at the Tana River porous border.


Kitui's Chief Officer for Tourism Ferdinand Kathenge says the tourism circuit will be a pillar of economic growth, contributing to revenue generation and employment opportunities.
