Top Intel: Uhuru, Raila Agree to Let Kalonzo Run The Show In Ukambani

Our Reporter

Just a few days to the General Elections, our desk has landed on top Intelligence Report that seems to seal the fate of Jubilee and ODM candidates in Wiper party strongholds.

According to the Parties Intelligence Report seen by our team, President Uhuru Kenyatta who is the leader of Jubilee party and ODM leader Raila Odinga have agreed to technically withdraw their support for any candidates affiliated to their parties who are running against Wiper candidates in Ukambani.

This, according to the Intelligence Report is informed by the fact that the two top Azimio la Umoja leaders do not want to antagonize Kalonzo in his stronghold.

President Kenyatta and Odinga have instead agreed to support Kalonzo to win all major seats in the Ukambani region.

These seats, according to a memo signed by the two include Parliamentary seats, Senatorial seats and Governors seats.

"The two leaders have a lot of respect for Kalonzo whom they want to work with to defeat Ruto. As such, they have reached an agreement to let him run the show in Ukambani where Wiper is expected to sweep clean all top seats," a source privy to the high level report says.

Credible sources also indicate that this agreement has informed Uhuru's decision not to visit Ukambani region before the elections, in what his handlers say is to avoid a scenario where Jubilee candidates might attend his events while seeking endorsement, thus causing bad blood between Uhuru and Kalonzo.

The president has also received credible Intelligence that although his party Jubilee has some candidates in Kalonzo's backyard, the party is not popular at all.

"The president is in agreement that Jubilee is unpopular in Ukambani. He has no problem with that and has agreed to let Kalonzo campaign freely for his Wiper candidates. Out of this agreement, Jubilee has also opted not to finance or support any of its candidates in the region," a senior member of National Government Administratve Officers (NGAO) has told our desk in confidence.

Consequently, Uhuru has shelved any visits to Ukambani and will not support any of Jubilee's candidates.

The Intelligence Report reads in part:

.... It is hereby agreed between Jubilee and ODM political parties that the two entities will play an underdog role in Ukambani politics where Wiper party is the dominant and popular party. While these two parties might have candidates running for different positions, it is our considered view that we should not be seen to be endorse any of them against the Wiper candidates.

The report has been ratified by both the president and Azimio - One Kenya presidential candidate Raila Odinga and bears the signatures of both Jubilee and ODM Secretary Generals.

This goes to show that Jubilee and ODM have no preferred candidates in Kitui, Machakos and Makueni counties where candidates affiliated to these parties are own their own.

Jubilee's Mailu Musila who has been isolated by the party following an agreement between Uhuru, Raila and Kalonzo.
