Impeached Kakundi Grilled By DCI Over Stolen Dozer, Thieves Face Long Sentences

Impeached LIHUD CEC Jacob Kakundi yesterday evening recorded a two page statement with DCI officers at Matinyani police station in connection to the daring theft of a county dozer valued at KSh27 million.

Kakundi was flushed out of his Katyethoka home by a phone call from the DCI sleuths from Nairobi, who ordered him to present himself at Matinyani police station for massive grilling.

While at the station, the minister who was impeached on account of corruption and rent seeking was locked up in a small room where a team of 3 mean looking officers grilled him for several hours.

"He tried to be arrogant in his typical style but soon realized the sleuths were bent on frying his balls. He then began to sing like a parrot" revealed our trusted mole who followed the unfolding events from a safe corner.

Embattled Kakundi was implicated in the theft by Matinyani MCA Sylvester Munyalo alias Yaamu after the MCA was also grilled by the makachero and ordered to stay within Kitui in case he is needed for more questioning.

"Yaamu panicked and implicated the impeached waziri. It could be a strategy that he does not want to go down alone" said another strategic source.

The two are believed to be prime suspects in the high octane theft of a county dozer that was carted away at dawn before it was impounded in Thika.

The thieves are said to have had pocketed a downpayment of kSh10million before their cover was blown.

Will the thieves be jailed at Kamiti? Stay with us as we uncover the whole truth!

The County Assembly LIHUD Commitee that has been investigating the matter has seemingly gone slow on the probe, leaving tongues wagging that the committee might have been bought.

This after the members blew up hundreds of thousands of shillings in per diem allowances and accommodation at Pride In Hotel in Nairobi  where a night charge is in the league of kSh15,000 per night and where the MCAs had retreated to compile a report. sadly, days after coming back, the committee has no report to present to the assembly.

One of our trusted mole revealed to us that the lazy committee is claiming it wants to grill the governor over the dozer theft before concluding their report.

"But we all know they are buying time to let the matter fall off the public radar. They are mischievous" our source remarked.
