Lydia Mutambu It looks like Hon. Joe Mutambu, former Mwingi Central MP has chickened out of the race in which he had indicated he wanted to reclaim the seat and send the sitting MP, Hon Gideon Mulyungi, alias Tsunami packing. Instead, Mutambu has unleashed his wife, Lydia who was born in Central Kenya to tussle with Mulyungi.  Lydia says she is coming to reclaim the seat once held by her husband Mutambu before he was swept off by Tsunami in 2017 elections. Kitui's development champion   In one of his many whirlwind tours across Kitui County, Dr Julius Malombe was today endorsed by the general population in Nguni Ward, Mwingi Central constituency. The incoming governor who is highly accepted by Kitui county residents met enthusiastic groups of voters at Nguni, Maai Mbuvu, Ukasi, Musovo-Mwanzele where the locals praised him for the good development record he set when he served as the pioneer governor.
