From Training to Smart Licences: Gov Malombe Transforms Boda Boda Sector

Governor Malombe with Kitui bodaboda men Our Reporter   Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe has intensified efforts to professionalize the boda boda sector after 783 motorcycle riders from all the 40 wards received Smart Driving Licences. The initiative to empower the bodaboda operators was done under a partnership between the County Government of Kitui and the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA). Speaking during the issuance ceremony at KEFRI Grounds, Governor Malombe said the initiative is designed to promote road safety, improve professionalism and accountability among riders, and enhance their livelihoods. He described the programme as a major step towards transforming the boda boda industry into a safer, well-organized and economically viable sector. Water Flows, Health Grows as Governor Malombe Delivers in Kitui West

Governor Malombe commissions kwa Mulungu water project   Our reporter   In his efforts to make Kitui water secure and strengthen healthcare access, Governor Malombe has commissioned key development projects in Kitui West, delivering both clean water and improved health services to thousands of residents. Of these is the Kaayo–Kwa Mulungu Sumpwell Water Project, which is a solar-powered investment designed to guarantee reliable water supply to communities in Kwa Mulungu, Wayani and Kalindilo. The water project features a sump well, high-capacity pump, elevated storage tanks, distribution pipelines, water kiosks and sanitation facilities.  It will serve more than 2,000 residents, including schools and other public institutions, significantly easing the burden of water scarcity in the area.
