How Kitui Investors Forum was a Success

Investors, both local and foreign now can open their eyes to the huge investiment potential that lies in Kitui County.


This is courtesy of the just ended Investors' Sensitization Forum that was organized by Governor Malombe's administration through the County Department of Trade headed by waziri Rose Mutuku.


The two day event held at the newly opened Kitui County Aggregation & Industrial Park at Kanyonyoo presented a cocktail of investment opportunities in the county's six investment and economic zones where potential investors are expected to take advantage and put in big money, with an aim of exploiting the full potential of the county wealth. 


"My administration will ensure market connectivity and linkages for investors," Governor Malombe said in his address to attendees of the sensitization forum. Over 3000 people attended the forum, signifying its popularity and resonance with the public. 


The event also attracted different exhibitors who came in to showcase their wealth of products such as artistry  wood carvings, honey,  chicken products and feeds, precious stones by artisanal miners and many others. 

Further, prominent businesses and business people among them Kitui Ginneries, Mama Safi of Parkside Villa, Rhoda Kazuri, Farmers Choice among others also attended.

The county boss noted that his administration will sponsor investors to showcase their products at national forums and trade fairs to broaden the market reach. 


Trade Minister Rose Mutuku urged investors to form partnerships with financial institutions to accelerate investment levels and unlock their full potential for economic growth. She urged local investors to be on the frontline.


Waziri Rose also stated that the county government is developing a master plan outlining incentives that will be offered to attract investors in the county.
