Why we Must Do Away with Kinengo – Kitui MCAs

The ancient Greek philosopher Plato once remarked: 'Tyranny is the rule of one who is able to exploit the weaknesses of others for his own benefit'.


This wisdom holds true to the current happenings at the Kitui County Assembly, an institution that has for the last two years been reduced to a drama chamber where chaos, divisiveness and under cutting deals are the order of the day - all courtesy of an incompetent and incapacitated Speaker called Kinengo Katisya.


But now the MCAs have had it enough. They want out. The MCAs want to extricate themselves from Kinengo's chokehold. And we support them. Otherwise Kinengo will choke them to death! 


Chaos after chaos

Ever since he was elected as Speaker on a 'mercy vote' Kinengo has only visited chaos in the Assembly. He has treated his bosses - MCAs - as kids. He has disgraced them. He has humiliated them and scorned at them. 


The rogue little speaker has used his powers to run roughshod over the MCAs, shuffling them from committees at will, denying them committee privileges, switching off their microphones while debating at the chamber and even directing Assembly orderlies to toss some of them out of the chamber. How low!  

For tyrant Kinengo, it is either his way or nothing! Forget about his fake smile and orphan-hood pretence. The rogue boy is a Mobutu Sesse Seko.


And this is why the MCAs are fed up with this level of tyranny. The MCAs must remove the snake from the Assembly, pronto.

Chuluni MCA Hon Mathew Vuthi

We gave him (Speaker) enough time to change but he hasn't. He has the demon  of divisiveness. Now we are saying that on 25th, we must change the leadership of the House. We are going to solve the issues in the Assembly, take that to the nearest bank.


Deputy Majority leader Dr Erastus Mbuno (Endau/Malalani)

We must liberate ourselves from the yoke of that man. We elected him, but now we are saying P.O BOX Musavani. The Speaker doesn’t understand his job. Kinengo has always been the aggressor and he should be prepared for whatever outcome.


Majority Whip Daniel Ngoima (Kitui Township) 

I want this to go on record; The Speaker we have at the Kitui County Assembly is incapacitated. He has no capacity at all. And for this reason, we have decided to send him to his ka law firm in Nairobi akakae huko. He says he has a ka law firm, we will send him there. 


Hon. Waziri Bakari (Nominated, Wiper) 

The Governor is protecting public funds. It is the Speaker who is squandering public resources. We know the people who are misusing public funds and Governor Malombe is not one of them. 


Hon Boniface Katumbi (Kyangwithya East)

Currently, we are at a stage where we cannot forgive. There are some sins that are totally unforgivable. The Speaker cannot be forgiven. 


Hon. Jacinta Mwoni (Nominated, Wiper) 

The County Assembly is in eternal chaos. People are even losing their teeth - all because of chaos brewed by Kinengo. We went to the Assembly to represent and work for the people, not to fight the Governor. We are very bitter. Some of us did not go to Uganda (recent games) because Speaker said 'those are Governor's people, let him take them to Uganda'

Kinengo is grossly biased. From Tuesday we will start the process of removing him.


Hon. Nzavu Nwanzia (Mbitini) 

As MCAs we have no problem with the Governor. It is the person we elected (Speaker) who is causing all the trouble. When we elected him, we thought he was a young man who meant well, alikuwa rafiki yangu lakini naona nyota kwake imeenda.

He is taking Kitui down the drain. He has frustrated us. 

Nyota kwake imeenda kabisa! 


At Skymoon Desk, our singular call to the MCAs is one; for Kitui to have peace, for Kitui to have political stability, remove the snake🐍, lest it devours you. 

Kinengo must be rooted out, he is a snake

Kitui Residents are Happy with Governor Malombe

  Nimrod Mbai - Kitui East MP  Our Reporter   Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai has reminded the county residents of the good work being done by Governor Julius Malombe, and appealed to them to ignore idlers who exhibit extortionist tendencies while purporting to criticize his administration.  Addressing a mammoth crowd in his constituency, MP Mbai explained that the people of Kitui are lucky to have a mindful and considerate Governor who has their interests at heart.  The legislator appealed to the county residents to continue supporting the Governor in order for him to continue implementing life changing projects and programmes as captured in Governor Malombe's The Kitui Promise Agenda. Kitui Residents won't forget Kaluki Ngilu's Evils

Reject Kaluki Our Reporter  Kaluki Ngilu is evil, and bewitchingly cunning.  After being hounded out of town by the strong wave of Governor Malombe in 2022 and going into oblivion, the queen of lies and pretence is crawling back like a discharged tapeworm. Her launch pad seems to be in funerals, and other somber events where Kaluki wants to pretend to offer a leaning shoulder while shedding crocodile tears.  That statement is by no means a way of being heartless to families that may have lost their loved ones.
