Deputy Governor Augustine Wambua Kanani has delivered a scathing jab at the embattled Kitui Assembly Speaker Kinengo Katisya, telling him and his blind acolytes to sober up and align their thinking to Governor Malombe's development agenda.


Speaking at the burial of Mzee Mburu Mairu—uncle to Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka—Kanani didn’t mince words. He accused the Speaker and the outgoing Tseikuru MCA Kimanzi Muange of orchestrating political conmanship in the Assembly with a view to  sabotage Governor Malombe's work through petty politics and power waves.


“My brother Muange allow me to tell you this; some of the Wiper leaders in the Assembly including the Speaker are enemies of development. You must wake up from your drunken delusions of power. The people of Kitui are hungry for development, not ego trips" Kanani stated.

The Deputy Governor even recounted how at one time Katisya went to him on a  bended knee and begged for intervention with the Governor. 


Kanani explained that in response, Governor Malombe advised Katisya to uphold the Wiper party’s official position on House leadership and convey it on the floor. 


"I told the Speaker that he has to respect the party's position and do as directed by the party's Secretary General. Instead the Speaker has chosen to defy that very counsel he begged for" Kanani pointed out. 


The Deputy Governor warned Katisya against letting pride and power blind and consume him to an extend of not seeing the bigger picture for the people of Kitui.


Kitui County Assembly under the bogus leadership of Speaker Katisya has made a dubious record as the only Assembly in Kenya and Africa without a functional House committee.

Kimanzi Muange, the soon to be former Tseikuru MCA who has elected to become Kinengo's lap dancer instead of working for the people

    Kanani is not seeing the dubious activities and siphoning county money being done by county executive - finance docket.

    The speaker can't moderate a already decayed county assembly executive & legislators - he has to chip in and moderate squarely

Governor Malombe Hogs Public Limelight for Best Performance
