Malombe Takes Healthcare Closer to Mutha Residents

Residents of Kaluluini in Mutha Ward have a new reason to smile after Governor Julius Malombe today evening commissioned a new dispensary, taking essential healthcare services closer to their doorstep.


The Kaluluini Dispensary is part of Governor Malombe’s ambitious programme to expand access to timely and effective healthcare across Kitui County, especially in communities where residents have traditionally travelled long distances to seek treatment.


The facility has been equipped with critical medical equipment befitting a health facility of its level, giving residents confidence that they can access essential medical services without making costly and time-consuming journeys to distant facilities.


Governor Malombe also introduced Nursing Officer Charity Kyalo, who will be in charge of the facility, further demonstrating the county government’s commitment to matching infrastructure investment with the human resources needed to deliver quality services.


The investment at Kaluluini is part of a wider health transformation being implemented across the County, with the Governor prioritising construction, expansion and equipping of health facilities as he seeks to bring healthcare closer to the people.


For residents of Mutha and other parts of Kitui, the strategy means easier access to healthcare, early treatment and reduced pressure on major referral facilities. 


The commissioning was attended by County Executive Committee Member for Health Ruth Koki, Chief Officer for Medical Services Dr Benson Musyoka and other County officials, as Malombe continued his development drive in Mutha Ward and across the county.
